Policy and Basic Approach

The Metal One Group regards our three pillars corporate philosophy—“global citizen,” “honesty and virtue,” and “aspirations and creativity”—as the foundation of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach. Together with all our stakeholders—including customers, business partners, employees, shareholders, local communities, and the Earth—we will help build a truly sustainable society.

CSR Charter

To contribute to the creation of an affluent society, the Metal One Group is committed to the creation of values through business activities in conformity with the three criteria for corporate social responsibility listed below.

CSR Management Structure

To strengthen CSR initiatives across the Group, the Metal One Group established a CSR promotion framework centered on the DEI & Sustainability Office under the corporate supervising officer, with the president taking ultimate responsibility.

That office works closely with Metal One’s organizations and business bases in Japan and overseas, as well as with Group companies. It plays a central role in promoting CSR activities while enhancing and expanding initiatives throughout the entire Group.

Initiatives

Donating Relief Supplies to Noto Peninsula Earthquake-Stricken Areas

Metal One donated relief supplies through NGOs to support areas the Noto Peninsula Earthquake devastated in January 2024 and the heavy rains in the peninsula’s Oku-Noto area in September that same year. In November 2024, our employees visited disaster support facilities that NGOs operate in Wajima and Suzu cities in Ishikawa Prefecture and donated relief supplies transported by truck from Tokyo.

In Wajima City, we donated shampoo and body soap to temporary bathing facilities set up for local disaster victims. In Suzu City, we delivered clothing, disinfectant alcohol, cleaning supplies and other items to a playroom and lounge open to everyone from children to older people.

Metal One will continue to contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of affected areas through such initiatives.

Donation Activities

Metal One makes donations primarily to address social issues, including disaster relief and recovery support, contributions to local communities and environmental conservation, the promotion of culture and the arts, sports and international exchange, and support for children and education. By supporting areas affected by natural disasters, sustainable development in local communities and environmental conservation activities, we will foster harmonious coexistence with society and contribute to realizing a sustainable society.
