~Supplying practical solutions and support to create new construction industry businesses and business models~
Metal One Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO Yoshiyuki Watanabe) concluded a strategic partnership agreement with Tohoku Alliance Construction Co., Ltd. (TAC, headquartered in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture; President and CEO Masahiro Kageyama) on February 19, 2026.
The two entities intend to mutually employ the technology, expertise and networks they possess to produce new value in the construction sector and strengthen competitiveness.
TAC was founded in June 2025 as a regional partnership and joint venture among seven construction companies in six Tohoku region prefectures and Mizuho Bank. This corporate alliance was established with the goals of energizing Tohoku’s economy, sustaining the regional construction industry’s growth, and passing value on to future generations as shrinking markets and a lack of technicians become increasingly serious issues in tandem with a declining population.
As business conditions reach a turning point, the companies have also been altering their way of thinking from competition as usual to pooling their strengths and working collaboratively. They are pursuing solutions to a broad range of issues through this wide-ranging partnership, including securing talented human resources, consolidating cutting-edge technology, and responding quickly and comprehensively to natural disasters, which occur frequently here.
Metal One responded to TAC’s efforts by entering this agreement, knowing that we could put our overall capabilities and proposal strengths to use to solve issues as well as leverage the expertise and experience we have developed in building supply chains.
It should be noted that Iris Ohyama Inc.; Earthbrain Ltd.; Komatsu Ltd.; Fulltech Co., Inc. and Mizuho Leasing Co., Ltd. also entered into respective partnership agreements with TAC around the same time.

Based on our partnership agreement, Metal One will help to enhance construction industry capabilities, provide real-world solutions to issues, and spur the creation of new businesses and business models together with these partner companies, pooling everyone’s strengths and capabilities.
Metal One will also help bolster construction industry supply chains and revitalize local economies and sustainable infrastructure provision, contributing to the sustained growth of local communities and industries.
