The Steel Sheet Products, Automotive Steel Products Business Division supplies automotive steel products, including surface-treated steel plates and sheets, to auto manufacturers and parts makers in Japan and overseas, in addition to handling steel sheets for supply to manufacturers of electrical household appliances, containers, OA equipment and steel furniture and to secondary distributors, including coil centers and official dealers. At a time of reorganization in the global electrical appliance and auto industries, the division strives to provide a competitive service and offer added value for its customers.
While domestic Group companies are strengthening their processing and distributing functions, the division is running more than a dozen overseas coil centers in China, other parts of Asia and the U.S. to supply products "just in time." The division offers a variety of services and functions that only an integrated steel trading company can provide - including global support and assistance to companies expanding overseas - in its efforts to meet the diverse needs of steel users and makers.
