Our business model is based on steel sheet, which has a wide range of uses in sectors that include cars, electrical machinery, construction materials, steel furniture and containers.
Our model goes beyond simply trading, however, extending to providing various kinds of added value via the group’s steel service centers. For examples, we naturally provide car manufacturers with stable supplies of high-quality automotive sheet, but also engage in various kinds of processing and help build just-in-time delivery supply chains. We deploy our expertise and capabilities in Japan and around the world in North America, China, Southeast Asia, India and elsewhere.
The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is accelerating in the automotive industry. Together with automotive steel sheet, which is one of Metal One’s strengths, we also serve as trailblazers in the EV market—which is expected to grow—blending the expertise and experience we have cultivated while handling electrical steel sheet for electrical machinery and motors.
