Metal One (Guang Zhou) Commerce Co., Ltd. was established on September 1, 2006, and is the Metal One Group's first subsidiary authorized to conduct commercial activities in China. With Metal One Value Chain Strategies at its core, the subsidiary is aiming to further expand business development through the maximum use of its domestic sales and export/import functions in the southern China region, where the demand for steel is rapidly rising in the automotive, electrical machinery and construction industries.

On January 1, 2007, Metal One (Beijing) Commerce Co., Ltd. was also established. Metal One will strive to expand into new operations and build a new business model in the northern China region by demonstrating its subsidiary's domestic sales and import/export capabilities.

Metal One's business network in China has had offices in Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Xiamen, but this is the first time for the Group to have a subsidiary that can conduct transactions in yuan.

Metal One plans to further accelerate the implementation of its Value Chain Strategies in the future by creating new business deals and business models, and seeking opportunities for business development in other Chinese cities. (China Unit, Regional Strategy & Coordination Department)
