The International Steel Operation Division is mainly engaged in global trading, using its extensive network, in addition to the export of semi-finished products, processed items and other steel products. But it is not limited to dealing in steel products. Through collaborations with industries involved in energy, machinery, projects, food, chemicals, and finance, we have developed as an international trading company, and will effectively promote the joint development of new business initiatives with customers.
In the growing overseas market, we have established a coil center network that is the largest of its kind among Japanese trading companies. We have established processing factories, such as coil centers, that can immediately meet their demand in the United States, Brazil, China, Southeast Asia and Europe. We have also built up supply chain management (SCM) capabilities using state-of-the-art systems comparable to those in Japan, and, in a departure from merely being involved in the distribution of steel products, offers highly functional services.
